2000

The Peninsula is a great area for the adventurous explorer. The trail is presently challenging but the Cow Head Tourism Committee has applied for a project to develop the area and improve the trails. This project involves the design and construction of trail system to Parks Canada standards and a amphitheater.

2002

The Cow Head Tourism Committee was successful in getting this project. The trail has been developed and it is a hikers heaven with a breathtaking view of the mountains. An amphitheater  was also built. When sitting in the seats of this amphitheater the audience are not only impressed with the professional talents of the Gros Morne Theater cast but they are also awed by the surrounding landscape.

The  Tourism Committee for Cow Head is planning a Landscape Architectural Project for Cow Head.  The Landscape Architectural Project will be a designated area in the community where there will be a variety of shrubs, plants and flowers. The garden will contain native plants from our area and other plants and trees that we know can survive in our wonderful little town. It would also have several benches strategically placed.

2001

All projects will increase economic opportunity such as tourism. This will attract visitors and potential investors into our community. It is hoped that these projects will encourage tourists to visit and spend some time in our community. The increase in the number of tourists for longer periods of time will translate into new dollars for our area.

It is the mandate of the Tourism Committee for Cow Head  to develop the tourism industry of Cow Head to fullest extent possible.
